Most perfumes are sold in amounts that no self respecting person could possibly use in the time that the perfume expires, so why put so much in the bottle? Why not sell a smaller, petite version?
Perfume: shelf life between one and two years. Perfume cannot go bad with respect to becoming rancid, but it changes its colour and scent. It depends on the composition of the substances and the storage: the more alcohol the perfume contains, the longer its shelf life. (cheaper stuff) Synthetic substances (cheaper) have a longer life than natural components (expensive stuff). Citrus scents evaporate faster than the scent of wood, for example… Just a few days in the sun can change the perfume completely, so it is better to store it in a cool, dark place.

I currently have a bottle of perfume that I’ve had for 3 or 4 years and I’m wondering if I should throw it out or is it still good?

I wanted to ship a bottle of perfume as a birthday gift to someone and I contacted companies like DHL and they said that they are not allowed to ship it because it is alcohol based perfume. I want to ship it overseas. If no shipping company will accept my package, what are my options for sending it? Please help!!!

i have a glass bottle that is totally sealed of and the part where you spray from is broken so i want to get the liquid out without spilling it. i tried freezing it so i can smash the glass but alcohol doesn’t freeze.(at least not at a normal freezers temperature)

it is entirely made of glass! there is no cap or anything to open. it just a glass container with no way of getting into the liquid inside. (i think)
